Halesowen Scout Band Junior Section

'Halesowen Scout Band Junior Section is a group dedicated to developing and encouraging the musical ability of youngsters within Scouting and Guiding.

We welcome everyone, no matter what their musical ability and we currently have memebrs ranging from beginners to established players working towards grades.

Over 2 hours, members will work on the following:

•individual instrument skills

•ensemble playing

•basic drill

•basic theory

These are all skills that are needed when the members are asked to join the senior band on events such as parades, fetes and competitions.

The instructors and leaders aim to provide a fun yet constructive and structured environment to aid learning and development on their chosen instrument, with the use of of games and activities.
